  Won't ever use this car rental again. Staff were rude on collecting the vehicle when I advised I didn't want to pay extra for insurance to reduce the excess and that I wanted to stick with the quoted rental price. Avis insisted on holding the entire excess ($2750) in case I was involved in an accident, no other hire car company that I have used in Perth does this. No damage occurred to the vehicle. I was charged twice by Avis for the hire of the vehicle, once on the day of collection and once on the day of return. Still trying to get my money back.

  Reasonable rates and great quality trucks. However, the customer service is so rude and confrontational it's bizarre. From desk staff making rude smart comments about customers as they approach the front door, then trying to change my return time because I picked my vehicle up 20mins early by mistake (I would have happily waited until the correct start time), and then of all things picking an argument with me about the age of my wife, I will never rent from here again.
